Hi and welcome to Wild Beautiful Life. My name is Kate and I’m the mind behind the writing. I started this blog because I wanted to create a space to share everything that I have learned during my journey to healthy living. Along the way, I have discovered a great love for food, creating delicious healthy recipes, practicing yoga and finding yourself in nature. These things have impacted my life in the very best way possible and I hope they can impact yours too. After all, life is short, so take good care of your health, fall in love with each day, and most importantly, always remember to enjoy the journey.

About Kate

I’m a certified yoga teacher (RYT200) and young professional (BCom Graduate and CPA, CA or professional number cruncher). After a run in with cancer in my early 20’s, I turned to the wellness world in hopes of regaining my health. I immersed myself in learning everything that I possibly could about being kind to my body and living a healthy lifestyle. Along the way, I have fallen completely in love with eating from the earth, creating delicious healthy recipes, practicing and teaching yoga and spending time in the great outdoors.

Some of my absolute favorite things are green tea, dark chocolate, farmers markets, hiking with my puppy, camping under the stars and anything (everything) yoga. On a typical Saturday, you will find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, in the studio practicing yoga or sipping tea and working on the blog. I live just outside of Toronto with my fiancé and our Labrador Retriever (or big puppy) named Koda. We love putting on our running shoes and getting outside into the fresh air to explore together.

Finding a diet that works for me and developing a daily yoga and meditation practice have been so instrumental in my journey to health. I can honestly say that by embracing healthy living, I feel better today than I ever have. I am a strong believer that knowledge is power so Wild Beautiful Life is a place to share this with you. I hope you enjoy everything that you find!
